EXOone M. bovis + S. aureus

Description

Mycoplasma bovis and Staphylococcus aureus are important bacterial pathogens associated with bovine mastitis and other infections in cattle. M. bovis is a wall-less bacterium linked to chronic infections such as mastitis and respiratory disease, while S. aureus is a Gram-positive bacterium commonly involved in contagious mastitis.
Infections caused by these pathogens lead to reduced milk production, poor milk quality and increased culling rates, resulting in significant economic losses in dairy herds. Co-infections may complicate disease progression and herd management.
Conventional diagnostic methods such as culture may be time-consuming and have limited sensitivity, particularly for M. bovis. Real-time PCR enables rapid, sensitive and specific detection of both pathogens directly from clinical samples, supporting analytical detection and monitoring.
