EXOone Salmonella gallinarum

Description

Salmonella enterica serovar Gallinarum is a Gram-negative bacterium adapted to poultry, belonging to the family Enterobacteriaceae.
It is the causative agent of fowl typhoid, a severe systemic disease characterized by septicemia, depression, reduced egg production and high mortality, particularly in chickens. The infection can spread rapidly within flocks and cause significant economic losses.
Conventional detection methods based on culture are time-consuming and require confirmatory testing. Real-time PCR enables rapid, sensitive and specific detection of S. Gallinarum DNA directly from clinical samples, supporting analytical detection and surveillance.
